So my xbox account has ran into a same problem it has once before
It isnt allowing me to get into my xbox one account because its asking for me to use a password
I have already tried getting a new password and worked for about a day or two but now the new password stopped working just like the old one i used for years did

I never set my xbox one account to require a password to get in it and now its asking for a password and the password i have now and had before just do not work even though they have before

and also in the microsoft page check for any devices that you might not recognize, and use the option to log out everyone out of the account, also the option to never use your password and just sent a notification to your auth app works perfectly and saves time

You should change first your account to 2FA Two Factor Authentication! There you can get a passwordless login!
Make a new alias for your account and save it as the primary email and use this one ONLY for your Microsoft account! It will never happen again that someone breach in to your account and change the password!
