Right, like I said the Mass Effect Online Pass was discontinued years ago. It is no longer necessary. All you need is game pass.

Where are you seeing a message that you need it?

The message appears on the game menu and when pressing the "Multiplayer " button there is a page where you either redeem the code if you bought it physically and if you don't have the redeem code you have to buy it on the Microsoft Store.

That prompt should be recognizing that you have game pass since that change was made long ago. You probably need to EA support to see why your account is not getting recognized.

Indeed, although the EA Advisor said that I should talk to Xbox support and Microsoft calling center doesn't work right now either.

you probably need to talk to a real person there and remind them that they discontinued that feature years ago and that they decided to make game pass / xbox live be all that's required lol

The EA Advisor is a real person, although they said that it has to do with Xbox since they're evolved with the series on the Xbox console.

not sure what to tell you.... i'd contact official EA support again. There certainly won't be anything any of us gamers here will be able to do to fix it 😦
