TL;DR: Xbox controller not updating through PC Xbox Accessories app (stuck at 0).
Hello, my recently purchased Xbox series X/S controller was working fine when I connected it via bluetooth to my PC. However, while playing BeamNG.drive I realized I wasn't experiencing feedback, so I looked up why when I quickly found out that there was an app for configuring and updating your controller. I installed Xbox Accessories, then connected my controller via a USB-C cable to my computer (to a thunderbold port). I then tried to update it but it just stayed at 0, saying it was updating. I waited for ~10 minutes but it was still 0, which is when I closed out of the app and tried again. I then tried restarting my pc, updating my pc, using a different USB-C cable which for sure has data transfer, resetting the Xbox Accessories App, repairing the Xbox Accessories App, trying to reset the controller by holding down the sync button for ~15 seconds, tried using a wireless PC internet connection instead of wired, etc. Throughout all this, I still get the same result at the end: I can not update my controller. What do I do? By the way, in testing mode when I clicked the Xbox button (the main one that lights up) it didnt display anytihng but I thought it was normal because the same happened witht he upload and sync and the sync button definitely wasnt broken.

1: My Xbox controller is not updating via the Xbox Accessories windows app. I am on Windows 11, not inside an Xbox Insider Program ring. There is a lot more information in the initial post.

3: Yes, I have found a selective few with my issue on youtube however the guide that they show (reinstalling the Xbox Accessories App) simply does not work for me.

if you have a console just update it there once done plug it into your pc it should now say configure!

Of course man and damn there hasn’t been a PC fix at all on YouTube or the forums so I would just go to a friends house to update it if they have a Xbox
