Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.
If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.
In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:
- What is your issue?
Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried?
Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?
If so, what results have you seen and tried?
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.
If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.
Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.
i didnt realize you opened a thread already. are you still here?
I’m still here
happy to help if ya got questions
So I presume to record long enough I need a capture card especially if I want to record like an hour of gameplay also can I show you the one I’m planning to get
I use Xbox x
Series X
got it ty. yeah link the card
got it. thats pretty similar to the one i use to use for some production work
yeah theyll all do the same thing essentially
Which would you suggest 🙂
at that price point
I’m new to this
what site recco'd the 2nd one?
Chat gbt and a top 10 website I’ve seen it on
Don’t know if it’s actually good
Okay
you know that these require a computer to connect to right?
Yes I have a good spec computer
I7 3070
these low-end cards are all hit-and-miss. you cant really trust the amazon reviews bc theyre paid to favorably review the product
Yeah I’m wanting to start YouTube but don’t want to invest too much
so you kinda gotta go with IRL reccomendations. i can link you to the one i used that worked on a budget for a project i did live-production for
works the same for xbox
That would be amazing thank you
let me search it up
Like I say I have no clue what I’m doing but trying to learn it didn’t realise YouTube was this complex 😂
But wanting to do it for fun
yeah capturing from a console isnt the simplest
can get tricky but with time and dedication you can learn it!
With your guidance I’ll be the best haha
so i had the Pro model but I've heard amazing things about the Lite
Big win here: You can record at 1080 while playing in 4k. many of the lower end cards struggle with that.
im in US so idk if this is available to you
I’ll have a look 🙂
https://a.co/d/f3neWSN the other one I used previously on a super budget once was this guy. I had trouble getting it to play in 4k while recording in 1080p
but its half the cost (USD)
it did get crazy hot, but it always seemed to work
yeah i know the UK site has other options.
I can screen shared me looking if it helps only way I can think of showing options but I don’t want to take up too much of your time
if you see some links go for it. like the 1st one you linked seems to look similar to the 2nd one i linked
you can always go with that one, and if it sucks, amazon returns ftw
Yeah true
I’ll go for the first one I linked
Thank you for the help I presume I plug it into the Xbox and pc turn both on start recording and it should save video to the pc
Or is there any software you would advise
sort of but not quite. you need a software to interface with it. i recommend OBS Studio
10000000000000s of guide on youtube on how to connect it all
