So my microsoft account got hacked and I was able to change the password, but whoever hacked it added a backup email and that takes 30 days to change, I contacted Xbox Support and a guy named Robert said he could escalate the situation and be able to transfer my stuff to a microsoft account. The email domain is xboxsupport@microsoftsupport.com. I can't attach a picture of the email for some reason but if anyone can tell me that this is a legit proccess that microsoft support does.

Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.

If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.

In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:

  1. What is your issue?

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

  1. What troubleshooting have you tried?

Please list everything you have attempted.

  1. Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.

Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.

If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.

Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.

that information is what Microsoft would ask you based on your situation. If your ever unsure on if a email is legit then you should go to the companies website yourself ( not links on the email) and use the contact us. No one here can verify an email for you only Microsoft can tell you if they sent it.
