xbox controller not syncing after update

So my controller needed a update yesterday, which i updated. And now my controller wont sync in any way. I followed all steps through youtube and xbox troubleshooting but none of those things work for me. My controller does connect after plugging in a usb cable, but once i unplug this one the controller goes back to not syncing and connected. My controller does connect to my phone. And so does my other controller
