Questions regarding refunding and Xbox wallet

So basically i just wanted to question about refunding, basically if i buy say xbox live giftcards and add them to my account and buy a game and within 14 days and within certain playtime as said in the forums. Now will the money be automatically be added to my xbox live account?

2 hours playtime and brought less than 14 days ago. money will be added to whatever u paid the game with. fyi if u continue to refund multiple times eventually will be denied due to abusing the system.

No i just need to refund once, I'm trying out elden ring but in case I don't like it's performance on the one s ( somehow it's lagging too much now ) i wanted to refund

Alright and how do i see the "xbox live wallet"?

go to payment methods there should be ur cc or however u pay for games and ur ms acct

No that's what i mentioned before, i plan to use xbox live giftcards to add to mt balance and then buy the game through that balance

I noticed that when buying a game you have an option to just redeem a giftcard is that referring to the giftcard for the game or...?

So in order to buy a game let's say for example in my case, elden ring i have to first add the balance to my ms acc to the amount through giftcards

But how can i buy the game using this balance? I didn't see an option whilst attempting to buy the game on the ms store on xbox

U can change ur payment method when u check out between ms acct and ur current payment method

Okay so basically i did that

When i go to the ms store in my xbox and check out it tells me to add a way to pay

There i am given two options to either "redeem a gift card" ( whatever that means ) or to add a way to pay and if i click the second it's basically credit cards + ewallets + redeem gift card option

Now what i want to do is do it through this "ms acct balance" you mentioned ( which i reckon should be able to buy games on the store? )

Or is this because i have no balance currently in my account?

There seems to be no payment method option for the balance in the checkout pop up

Also another question, i live in pakistan but there aren't any giftcards of xbox live for pakistan so does this mean I'm in US currency similar to how steam works?

( PS. For steam since i have US currency just redeeming US wallet giftcards works, I'm wondering if the same is for xbox )

pakistan isnt supported on xbox at all.

Well yeah not properly but for steam since we don't have rupees we're just given US and US giftcards work too
