Hello, I am trying to play my Series S on my Mac (so I can record some things) but I do not have a capture card, but I have a dongle that has HDMI Input, I was wondering how do I get it working? (I've hit a pickle and I don't exactly know what to type into Google lol)

The dongle is most likely HDMI output. If it was input, then it would a capture device.

FWIW all the common popular USB capture devices will work with your mac & obs

I've used a few of the elgato devices ( HD60x, cam link, one of the other HD ones...), AverMedia Live Ultra, razer ripsaw...

I might just buy a cheap one online then, (I don't plan to do anything fancy, mostly record clips and just have it at my desk haha)

Shadowcast from GENKI is a good affordable capture dongle.

Update: Capture Card came in, OBS reconizes it, but it only displays a black screen, and when I plug the Xbox back into the TV it displays as normal, Tried a couple videos but it didn't solve the black screen

Check for updates on the capture card and OBS.
