Does anybody please know how to fix the clip ID error I purchased the game sea of thieves ages ago but after I reinstalled windows on my pc it would not let me launch the game anymore and game me the error CLiP license device ID does not match I have tried to delete the device from the Microsoft account which. I purchase the game from nothing works and can’t find any info on it I only came here becuase I can’t find anything online also the account which I purchase the game under is different than the account I signed in with windows also

I’ve tried that didn’t work it was dumb of me to try to reinstall windows and now this has been happening for almost 2 days straight also
It’s just really frustrating
I was gone for a while due to my brain surgery and finally back home and this starts happening.

Comment i found regarding a similar issue:
First, I removed my PC (device) on my Microsoft Account by opening the Microsoft Store > Clicking on my user icon top right > selecting "Manage accounts and devices" > signed in on the Microsoft webpage that opens.
Next, I selected my PC off the list, and in the top right, selected "Remove this device".
Then, I went to Settings (on Windows) > Accounts > Your info.There's an option to "Sign in with a local account instead".Follow the steps, and set up a local user - You'll be signed out of Windows, and need to log in with your newly created local account.
Repeat this process (Settings > Accounts > Your info) and switch to a Microsoft Account.Enter your Microsoft Account details (sign in), and once done, restart PC.
Log back in, and the problem should be solved (well, solved mine at least).
According to the error I was getting in my Windows Activation, I recently made a significant hardware change, which I didn't, I simply used Reset this PC to reinstall Windows 11 - and after the reinstallation, this error plagued me for the entire day.
