Last week when I wanted to update fortnite for the new season it didn't start the update, so I paused it and it got stuck there. I turned my xbox off and it said installation stopped as soon as I turned it back on. I've tried resetting my xbox, stopped the installation and started it again, and restarted my xbox but nothing works.
#My game stops the installation on its own

Turn your Xbox off and stop the installation manually
cancel the download
restart your xbox again
reinstall Fortnite again as a new install
Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.
Select Manage > Queue.
Highlight the game you're trying to install and press the Menu button on the controller.
Select Cancel.
I said that but he ain’t listening
Bc I already did it
Im try this now
ah well thats how you fix it but if they dont want to do that then I guess not 🤷♀️
Alright
I’ll do it again then
So if I turn it off it’ll stop manually
@harsh plinth it didn’t work
No.
Literally the first thing that came up was “installation stopped”
We didn’t say that. I said it to start off with but go to your Xbox guide by pressing the Xbox button on your controller. Go to my games & apps. Go to see all. Press manage then queue and then press the menu button on the controller and click. Cancel
And then turn it off
Ok gotcha
@harsh plinth uhhh
I didn’t work
But like the thing is it’s like looped bc it tries to install it again on its own but it stops in its own
Sorry
I misunderstood
So I uninstall manually
And after that what do I do again?, sorry I’m just loosing my head over this
Reinstall the game
Ok
It still won’t work (sorry for bothering u, I feel bad at this point)
As in, I uninstalled either with the way u said, I installed it back and it stopped
I even uninstalled another game to see if it was the space but it’s not
And it kinda loops
Idk if it’s the game or the console tho
Bc I update halo just fine yesterday to test
@harsh plinth
Yes
It might be the game. I know Fortnite is buggy atm with updates. Try in an hour or so
Ok
@harsh plinth just so u know i wated 2 hours before checking
idk i f that impacts anything but i just want to make sure
And it didn’t work
It still says installation stopped
Bro
Go through the process I told you to by stopping install, and then uninstall it
you need tio uninstall the game just restarting the download will not work
^^^
Im not home rn but when I’ll do I’ll try that
But I have an idea, if I try to install the game on the Xbox app on my phone wiill it work?
Nvm neither worked
