So i have a razer kraken v3 wired headset, it uses USB-A, it works for everything, but when i plug it into my xbox, I don't hear any sound at all, I tried changing and playing around with the volume and audio output settings but nothing worked, (The xbox is connected using a hdmi cable to my monitor)
I don't remember anymore but I think that the headset worked before I got the monitor. Anyone can help?
(The headset is compatible with xbox)

Xbox does not support USB audio
Your headset probably came with a 3.5mm jack cable that you can use
Let me check if it's in the box
Why wont xbox just support usb audio? (Also the headset didn't come with a 3.5mm jack cable, it's just a usb-a wired headset, so yeah ima use it for my pc only
Does xbox atleast support bluetooth? I also have a Bluetooth headset
Xbox does not support bluetooth either
xbox has their own priperity wireless protocols
They support normal wired headphones using the 3.5mm jack on teh controller, or wireless headphones using the official Xbox wireless protocol, or a very limited set of authorized headphones that use USB to connect a base station to your xbox that then do wireless
Bluetooth has more latency than the xbox wireless protocol, so for now they've decided 'in sync audio' is more important than 'cheap headphones'
As for supporting USB audio, I'm not entirely sure why they don't do that since there is a usb audio standard nowadays, but I assume it has to do with how most usb audio is the wild west of drivers and complexity
Luckily I have a 3.5 mm jack headset, just had some hope bc the usb-a headset has some real good audio
It's just weird because why does the xbox one s (and probably other xbox) have 2 usb-a ports? Is it for keybaord and mouse or what?
Or wired controller idk
Keyboard, mouse, controller charging, and up to 4(or 8?) external USB hard drives to add additional storage space
Well alr, still weird how they won't just support usb headsets
