Hey guys, I've been trying to use a xbox 360 which was my brother's for a while, but every disc that I insert doesn't seem to work. It usually says reading for a bit, then switches to open tray. No matter what disc I try, what position, etc it doesn't work. I've also tried cleaning the discs with a damp sleeve of shirt. It doesn't even pop up and ask me to download or anything, it just reads and switches back to the normal open tray. Do I need xbox live? Internet connection? Is the laser the problem? Should I try more discs? Also I have the appropriate storage for them. Another thing to point out is that these discs have been setting in a drawer(in their respective cases) for years on end with out being touched.
