Is there any way too turn it off or does it just do that?

It just does that. People set these notifications for themselves. By default you see when your favorites are online, but you can change it to see it for all friends or disable it entirely.

  • If your friend is bothered by it, they need to change their notification settings.
  • If it bothers you and you don't wanna be seen online, set your Xbox Status to offline. If you were online previously and want to hop onto your console without anyone seeing it, you can set your status to offline in the Xbox Mobile App before turning on your system.
