Can’t press ES2 paddles down at the same time

I have P1 bound to right stick click and P2 bound to A so I can slide hop better in TF2, and I noticed while I was playing that my A button wasn’t working correctly. So I troubleshot a bit, tried seeing if there was a controller update (there wasn’t), spam clicked it and everything seemed fine so I tore open the controller. I inspected the board that gets pressed by the little circles underneath it and everything seemed fine but then I noticed something when I put it back together. The A button ONLY stops working properly when I had P1 pressed as well, when it was me only pressing P2, it worked fine. Why is this happening?
