Rdr2 installation problems

I originally installed it via disc on my xbox 1s and I now have a series x. I attempted to install it using the discs and it is not installing despite following the disc instructions? Any possible errors or solutions

“It doesn’t install” isn’t enough information.
What does it do?

absolutely nothing when the install disc is inserted the xbox makes noise registering it but it does pop up on screen anywhere

try the disc in a different console. sounds like it has gone bad.

you can also use the phone app (and maybe the web page, I forget) to remotely install the game (without buying it) and then see if after isntalling it the disc will let you play it

Sounds like the disc is busted
