can i play games on my pc using xbox or do i need to have an xbox console?

I just bought minecraft thinking i can play on pc but when i tries to install it it said i need to allow remote installation and when i wanted to know how to allow it it gave me only how to do it on the xbox console. If i can really play on pc, how do i activate remote installatio?n
