Xbox one discs won't read

unfortunately no one here can help with you trying to repair your console. Its a terms of service issue to open the console and as this is an official server no one here can tell you how to do this

Only things you could try really is a factory reset and see if that helps. If not, the drive is broken.

there is some things you can try if the reset does not work try getting a CD Disk cleaner

do DVDs or CDs read?

okay and they were DVDs you tried not Blu Rays ?

ah okay so try a DVD or a CD

The drive is a dual layer drive meaning there is a laser for DVD and CD and one for Blu Ray.. It maybe just the Blue ray laser as gone.

If a DVD or CD workes then you could try buying a CD cleaner from some where like amazon there perty cheap and that may help fix it.

the disc will load on the home screen not in My games and apps if your looking there?

so its loading on the home screen for you?

ah okay so do you have any Titles on the home screen at all?

right okay so what I trying to find out is if its an issue with the discs not loading because of an disc drive issue or if there is an other issue where the home does not load.

So your saying home does load correctly but the disc does not show correct?

I don't think it's necessary. The drive sounds busted.

yeah, i would say so unfortunately. Microsoft do not repair Xbox One S any more either.
