might not be the right place but ill try here anyway. my xbox will not connect to the internet now. I have an xbox series X, it used to work perfectly fine with how i got my router settings rn. The way I run ethernet on my xbox is by running a short ethernet chord from my pc to the xbox (I have an extra PCI-E which functions as a 2nd ethernet port) and im allowing windows to share the data from the pc to the xbox. so im wired on my pc and xbox. the nat type went to moderate and UPNP is unavailable then out of nowhere my nat type is now available.

Ive tried port forwarding nothing really worked. My router is in AP (Access Point) mode. if i set it as anything else I will get the double nat type error which u dont want. My connection is my sky router going to my Asus TUF ax5400 i believe my asus router is. i then have the settings to allow windows to share the connection to my xbox

THIS HAS WORKED FINE BEFORE AND JUST FOR SOME REASON HAS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY!

ive also tried restarting both my sky router and my asus router

my original ethernet chord going directly from my gaming router to my xbox is broken and cant afford a new one at this point in time but the op outlining my issue worked flawlessly until last month

Update: I changed my xbox ip settings to automatic, idk why it was on manual in the first place. but now my nat type is strict

UPnP not successful (Its turned on both my sky and asus router)

This sounds like a complicated setup.

Can you try connecting directly to your main wifi with your Xbox?
Or try connecting directly to your main router (not mesh or bridges or any other random ones) with an Ethernet cable?

Okay then your Xbox is working fine. It is your pc Ethernet sharing system that is busted

You’ll need to find some tutorials online on how to set up internet sharing on your windows box
