I’ve been having issues with my left for dead 2 disc in my xbox one. Before anyone says anything, it’s cross platform so I can play this disc on the xbox one. I’ve tried cleaning it, getting a new disc entirely and nothing works. It keeps coming up saying the disc isn’t present. I’ve tried xbox one discs and they work just fine but it seems to be just 360. i’ve never had this issue in the past and it’s really annoying, anything i’ve found online hasn’t solved it. i’ve tried every solution out there. What can I do?

Have you tried dvd movies to see if it can read those?

I have not, im not even sure I have any dvds

If it can’t read dvds either then probably an issue with the drive itself. But it’s a way to test

i had gathered it wasn’t with the disc tray as it read the xbox one disc fine

Other than that make sure you are connected online as 360 discs need to download the actual game

Yeah but XB1 discs are Blu-ray and not DVD which is what 360 games are on so could still be the drive having issues with dvds
So if you find a movie dvd test that

okay i’ll see if i have any, the other ones i think i havé are a box set CD
now that i think of it it might be the disc tray,
sometimes it gets stuck and i havé ro manually eject the discs with a pin
i didn’t think it could damage it tho

Sounds like the laser might be having issues with what you said so far
If it’s struggling to eject discs that indicates build up of dirt and grime on the rollers and probably in the drive.
