I am curious and I know this is a pretty silly question, but when games update do they take up more space or add to the total space a game takes up or does the internal SSD, Expansion card, or external device do something to where after the update the game goes back to It’s original size? Again I am sorry if this is a silly question I am wondering how all that works.

Community support is more for help regarding issues people are having, but as for the answer to your question, the short version is that it really all depends on what the update is doing. Sometimes updates add, sometimes they change what's already there, and sometimes they cause a reduction in file size.

My apologies I will take note of that in the future. Thanks for replying though I was just curious as sometimes when a game update takes about more than 10GB or any GB really, after it’s done it doesn’t seem to change my storage size on where the game is installed to.
