today I bought 2 discs for xbox series x which include a data disc and a play disc for mk11 ultimate, after installing them I could not play story mode, I searched on the internet how I could install story mode but it doesn't appear in game and add ons, what could I do to install story mode?

you need too install the story campaign and packs. Go to your games and apps find the game press the menu button and select manage game and install the add ons

why doesn't it show me to install story mod?
I followed all the steps you gave me
the first time i installed mortal kombat which had 60 gb and then it asked me to upgrade to 48 gb
and it won't let me play without upgrading
all I get with the story is the aftermath story that doesn't install at all

yes you need too install that the upgrade because it wants to install the series version.
