you want to check that because the console isnt seeing it has one.
If it is then try reconnecting the headset and restarting your console a few times.
Otherwise the 3.5mm jack may be damaged.

for party chats thats fine but you need a stereo headset if you want in game sounds and chat.

Has i said the reason its greyed out is because the console is not seeing the headset a a stereo headset. Its a very easy fix of the above.
