Xbox Series X upgrade

So I have the disc for call of duty vangaurd and on the disc it says Xbox One and Xbox series x. Whenever I try to install the game though it not only stays stuck on 0% but also never gives me an option to upgrade the game. Is there anybody that can help?

Cancel installation use mobile app to install game then use disc as a play disc

Thank you so much I tried everything and it didn't work but I used the mobile app and it started installing! @elfin compass

Also make sure u install the correct version. Mobile has both xb1 and series x version of the game

Do I need to I stall the Xbox One version too? I ask this because i have the Xbox series x upgrade installed but the disc is trying to install seperate from that.

For some reason it won't recognize the disc if I try to play the Xbox series x version, do you know why? Also apologies for all the trouble

Vanguard has 2 versions.

1. the Xbox One version, which is back-compat on a Series: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/call-of-duty-vanguard/9php6hf58mb5

2. the Series-optimized version which can't be used on an Xbox One: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/store/call-of-duty-vanguard-xbox-series-xs/9mwhtw1sf7rw

what does your physical disc say?

They sold the physical disc in regular and cross-gen versions

THat's the Xbox One version of the game

it is backwards comptaible with Series X but it is not the "optimized for series x" version
