#series x controller won’t update

hey I’m trying to update my controller and it’s not working

I’ve tried via usb, tried resetting my console, tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting, took the battery out and put it back in

nothing is working, help??

Are you sure it's not current? You can't update if there's no update for it to do.

If you're connected to the internet, clicking Update Now should automatically update it.

Sounds like something is wrong with your controller then.

@lunar gull / @short raft , are either of you enrolled in the Xbox Insider preview program? If you aren't sure, can you DM me the Xbox Network ID of the console you're seeing that on please?

And also, what type of controller is it? Is it the one that came with your Series X or S?

Settings > System > Console Info

Xbox Network device ID is the thing I need from there (it will start with F4000)

My is a series s controller that came with it I'm in the xbox insiders program

Great, thank you 🙂 If you haven't already, would you mind reporting a problem from the console after you try updating and hit the error, just so there's any relevant logs for the team as well? At the very least, having the group you're a part of and the controller type is something for me to pass over to the team 🙂
