Hello,
my Xbox Series S has recently started to make me sign into Xbox 360 profiles to play Silent Hill collection HD… however when I sign in it still doesn’t work. I just bought silent hill yesterday and I literally can’t play it. Idk what to do. I have already tried clearing xbox 360 storage, I tried putting xbox on hotspot to see if it was the wifi (it wasn’t). Idk what else to do.

What exactly doesn't work when you sign in

It just says it failed
that it didnt sign in
it just seems like it fails to download the profile

You should make sure nothing on your network is blocking access to Xbox 360 services. They are a different set than Xbox One/Series X|S services.

hi. i am still having this problem
things i have tried
-resetting xbox entirely
-changing microsoft password just in case
-uninstalling the game and reinstalling
-resetting xbox 360 storage cache
-unplugging and replugging the xbox in
idk what else to do anymore i think i might give up soon lol
i dont think my network wld be the problem , even if it is idk if i can do anything about it its my apartments wifi

If none of those things worked, it's almost certainly your network.

Have you tried tethering the Xbox to your phone just to test?
Some other things to note, if you have 2 step auth enabled you need to make an app password to sign in on the 360. Sometimes enabling/disabling your auto renewal can fix sign in issues on 360 from my experience but might be worth a try if nothing else works.
