Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.

If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.

In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:

  1. What is your issue?

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

  1. What troubleshooting have you tried?

Please list everything you have attempted.

  1. Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.

Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.

If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.

Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.

Yes, but you could've been more descriptive as for what device you actually have and such

rotund yew
#

Oh how do I do that

#

Just type it here ?

chrome parrot
#

yes, it's like a normal channel

rotund yew
#

Oh

#

So it’s a regular Xbox 360

#

And I started up a game last night and it bluescreened and the red ring came on

chrome parrot
#

bluescreened?

rotund yew
#

Basically just froze

#

And then I tried to restart it and that’s when the light came on

chrome parrot
#

to explain what is happening, each time you press sync and eject at the same time you get a number of ring parts basically each one means something, this example is 0020

rotund yew
#

So what does it mean ?

chrome parrot
#

I want your numbers from this procedure

rotund yew
#

What numbers ?

#

I’m confused lol 😂

chrome parrot
#

let me explain much better in a few minutes

#

So in the video example I'm pressing the sync and eject button at the same time, that will make like 4 rings, maybe 2 rings light up around the power button, the amount of rings that lights up means a number, pretty simple except for that 4 means 0, and in the video example it shows 0020, this means you will do this to get 4 numbers which could be similar numbers. This would help me determine for you if it's even worth finding a repair shop for it

rotund yew
#

So it could be potentially beyond repair ?

chrome parrot
#

It wouldn’t be beyond repair, but it would need a repair shop with better equipment and it would cost at least like $100

rotund yew
#

Are you a technician of sorts ? You seem to know a lot about this stuff lol

#

I know a decent amount but nothing too special

chrome parrot
#

Nah, I’m just hyperfixated (think that’s the word) so I learn a bunch of stuff on one thing

Bros using xbox 360 in 2024💀

rotund yew
#

So is it also possible that I can remove the hard drive with all my data on it and put it in a potentially new 360

@odd geode Stay out of the thread if you don't intend to offer any technical support and keep your behaviour civil.

Every 360 has a removable HDD and the phat has it on top, says HDD or like 120GB

rotund yew
chrome parrot
#

yeah sure

rotund yew
#

My numbers were

#

1 4 1 1

chrome parrot
#

that error could be caused by a bad hard drive, take it off and try booting

rotund yew
#

How do I remove the hard drive ?

chrome parrot
#

you had a regular 360 no? phat?

#

it's quite obvious on the top

rotund yew
#

I never had my hard drive in there

chrome parrot
#

you didn't?

chrome parrot
rotund yew
#

No

chrome parrot
#

So it’s just an empty grille there I assume? Flat top?

rotund yew
#

Yup

chrome parrot
rotund yew
#

Yeah

chrome parrot
# rotund yew Yeah

Well then that is dead, some repair shops could be able to replace it, but it could be hard to find one if you live rural

#

Just to do a double check, which 360 do you have? And do you recall what size the internal storage was?

Xbox 360 S
