When i plug my headset into my controller the sound continues to keep out from the tv, ive tried plugging it into my computer so i know that its not the headset and i dont think its the controller and ive hooked my xbox up to multiple tvs and looked at multiple tutorials i dont know what to do

Yea that’s not how the setting works. The Xbox doesn’t know if you’ve turned the tv speakers off. The Xbox can disable sending sound to the tv on its own. That option did not exist when the series s/x first released though.

i'm not a big fan of windows sonic but yea that's still just normal headphone support so it should be working

if your headset has its own volume knob on it then you should make sure you have the volume on the xbox turned all the way up in teh chat mixer or whatever
