# dim magnet Hi! So my Xbox series x just got repaired it got new thermal paste added and got...
  1. unless you dropped your xbox in to a sewer ditch, it didn't need a "deep clean"
  2. your series x did not need "new thermal paste"
  3. the fans should not have been disassembled
  4. the fans spin up when the console gets hot. Consoles get hot from having poor air flow around them (being in a cabinet, etc) and from playing very highly demanding games for a long period of time. It is up to you to decide if it is "loud" or not.
  5. take if back to whoever "fixed it" and tell them to "fix it right" if it doesn't work the same as it did when you gave it to them
