Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.
If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.
In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:
- What is your issue?
Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried?
Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?
If so, what results have you seen and tried?
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.
If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.
Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.
Nope, that unfortunately won't work. You'll need to connect that Hard Drive to an actual 360 console to upload the saves from there first.
but what if i use a SATA transfer cable and transfer the saves to pc then transfer the saves to a external HDD that's formatted for the Series X?
You can't copy saves files through USB on Xbox One and Series consoles whatsoever. It automatically uses cloud storage and has no local transfer options anymore.
That's not going to happen. Save files are not stored on HDDs for the Series X or XB1, they're stored on the internal system drive.
Also, when you connect a USB drive to the console it will ask you to format it. When it's formatted for game storage it cannot be used on a PC.
damn
so i have to get my 360 S repaired to put the save files on the cloud and only then can i play my games on the Series X?
If you want your save files, yes.
hmmmm
