I saved up my school for an rode a 1 hour drive to buy a giftcard just to buy 2k for it to say the game is a free trial i got scammed

You said you bought a gift card ? Was the gift card the game code? Was the gift card an Xbox game pass time card ? Was the gift card an Xbox money card?

if it shows up in your history as purchased but somehow isn't understanding that when you try to run it that's weird
