I'm thinking about buying an Xbox series x, and I have a question about the backward compatibility feature.
As far as I know, it can read og xbox and xbox 360 discs and they will be downloaded on the series x, but will it work if the game has been downloaded on another series x before and then I try to do it on mine?

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
Please list everything you have attempted.
If so, what results have you seen and tried?
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.
If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.
Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.

If you have a disc it can be used in as many Xboxes as you want.
But, you'll only be able to play the game when the disc is inserted.
