Hi everyone I hope you all are doing well. I just got a Xbox Series X and I just noticed something and I wanted to know if it’s normal. When I was playing a disc game I noticed it running like normal, but then it sounded like it wasn’t reading the disc while I was playing. Is this normal for this to happen? The game is still running too when it happens.

Yes, that's normal. Games don't run directly from the disc because disc drives are too slow to load the content while playing.

The game installs from the disc to the console digitally. The disc is just used as a physical license key to confirm you still own it and the disc is inserted.

I believe when it’s running movies and such it stays running which is also normal. :D
