Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.
If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.
In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:
- What is your issue?
Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried?
Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?
If so, what results have you seen and tried?
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.
If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.
Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.
Some monitors only support certain resolutions at certain refresh rates what monitor do you have
My ps5 is able to do it
But idk why my series s
@mossy hazel
Which doesnt make sense to me
Yeah, it’s gotta be a video setting somewhere
@mossy hazel
My brothers monitor has similar specs
And the series s does 1440p 120hz
But mine it doesn’t
Did you look in settings of the Xbox to see if any 120 hurts is enabled
Sorry for the bad spelling I’m using dictation on my phone
Wdym?
There’s an option somewhere in the video settings of the Xbox to enable 120 Hz I believe it’s in the video settings somewhere
U have this on auto?
You pinged me at 2am. Which is fine but I'm never replying that early in the morning 🙂
@boreal cliff it's an incompatibility issue between vesa display timings and the Xbox output. 1440p120 is considered non standard by the monitor. In the manual it does state it's compatible but this would be with a PC. The Xbox reads the supported modes from the EDID at the monitor and then let's you select what mode you want. This is probably by design to make the experience smoother/ easier for users. You could try forcing the setting on the Xbox but I suspect you'll get no picture if you do (if that happens, just wait 30 seconds and it should revert, if not, there's a way to reset display settings without a video signal).
So in short, you're probably stuck with these 2 resolutions and refresh rates until you change the monitor. But please don't ask which one you'll need, you'll have to do your own research.
I bought the monitor for $170 u think its worth keeping as a 1080p 120hz monitor? Im looking at other stores and i see they have it slightly lower or a bit higher than what i bought it for
Thanks for the help
Up to you tbh, depends if you're happy with it I guess
Quick question, on my ps5 the monitor causes a gray filter
Lik everything looks more gray
Do u know what could cause that?
Look up “how to calibrate monitor” and “how to calibrate hdr ps5”
