It's a "Third Generation" Standard black controller which is around 4-5 years old. The issue is that recently when I hold the "Home" button to turn it on, it just doesn't turn on. Obviously, at first, I thought my batteries had ran out so I added new ones, despite that, the controller still wouldn't turn on. I've tried different brands of batteries. Just to note, I'm putting the batteries in with the right + and - sides. The controller isn't completely dead though as sometimes if I add the batteries back in after taking them out or shaking the controller lightly, the controller will turn on and all the buttons will be responsive and it will work perfectly fine with no connectivity issues. After turning it off however, the issue of turning it on again persists. I haven't dropped the controller in a good while or anything like that either. So, I was wondering if this is some kind of hardware failure or if I'm just doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.
