My original xbox is working just fine except for the fact that it shuts off while playing with it. Today I was playing a game and I had my xbox shut itself down after around 2 hours, I restarted and it shut off right away. I googled and learned that it could be an overheating problem, I felt the back of the xbox and it felt decently warm, but not hot like it said on the website, or maybe what I felt is considered to be hot, I have no idea. I let it cool off for around 40 or so minutes and played again, this time it worked for around 30 minutes before shutting off. I waited almost 2 hours this time, started it again, played my game, felt the back which turned out to be rather cold, played for 25 minutes before shutting off, felt the back which was less warm than the first time i felt it after shutting off.
Important part: I used my flashlight to look inside the back of the xbox where the fan is and saw that it was dusty in there. It doesn't look terrible from what I can see, but there could be a risk of there being dust in bad areas further inside. But I don't know if that's the case.
Here is my question for what I should do: Should I try something simple such as maybe having a fan blow towards the xbox to keep it cool? Should I attempt to take the xbox apart and clean the inside? Cleaning the inside is probably the better option, but I'm not sure if i trust myself with that, I am not a proffesional.
Would love to get some advice.
P.S. I'm not even sure if it's overheating, maybe it's something else?
