I was told here to get an ssd as it can run Xbox one games on it, but the Xbox won’t let me change my install location to the ssd even though it’s detected, how do I do this?

Are you sure it is detected as a game drive and not just a media drive?

Xbox itself should recognize the drive and have a option to format unless its internal

3.0 its back compatible with 2.0

there should be a format option on the console unless you were looking at the internal storage. But you can format it on PC if it isnt working and try again but i think you may just be looking wrong

or you just read the screen if the drive is called internal storage then your looking at the wrong drive and that will be why your not seeing an option to format

any USB 3.0 external drive 128gb or larger

personally I wouldnt go down the SSD route sure its faster but its isnt noticeable for the price a HDD will be fine, If you do want to go down the SSD route then get the Xbox Expansion card
