if someone could please help me my problem is I have a 165hz monitor and I have my xbox connected I have 120 hz enabled with 1080p made sure it set my monitor to 120 hz so I know its working but when I go into a game I cannot get 120 fps I have tried different hdmi cables even hdmi 2.1 if someone clould please dm me with help with be great!

yes I have 120 hz enabled on my xbox and my monitor is running at 120 hz and the game will not run at 120 fps The option wont even show up as if im not on 120 hz but I have checked and made sure my monitor was on 120 hz and it was working ive tried it on my pc and it works but my xbox will not run games on 120 fps might not reply till tmr bc I have to go so please give me time and dont rush and ping

What game is it? If your can enable 120 Hz in the Xbox settings (it's Hz, not FPS there) then your monitor supports 120 Hz over HDMI and Xbox detects that correctly. Checking the checkmark then allows games to see that as an available option, if they want to offer it (it's up to the games as to what display modes they offer).

yes but I know for a fact that fortnite supports 1080p 120 fps but it does not show up and Mw3 also does yet I cannot get 120 fps on either or those games ive tried several others and no 120 fps even in games that have a option to turn 120 fps on when you have 120 hz enabled the 120 fps on/off is not there
