so when i registered my console on the microsoft website it says that the warranty ends on 16.12.25 which means that it started a few weeks before i bought the console.
i bought it from a big tech shop where i live that is listed on the where to buy xbox official website for my country and the console was supposed to be new. is that normal or was i sold a used console and was lied about that?

okay so they didint lie about selling an used console as new? (i dont have any other reasons to belive that the console was used)

they normally ad extra time likley to cover the time its sat in storage or on a store self.
If your concerned you were sold a used console but brought new. Then it should have been perty clear if it was used when unboxing it.

if you ever need to do a warranty claim you send a copy of the receipt with the claim and that will prove warranty status.

the warranty on the console is 12 months normally but they do give extra time to cover storage time i believe but your receipt will prove the warranty status regards of what the site says. If your concerned then contact support but i think your worrying over something that dos not matter,
