When I boot up remote play it just shows a black screen for eternity

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

Ive tried turning it off and on again and ive tried restarting it

I had the same issue yesterday. I tried to reproduce the black screen using multiple devices and got the same results across. I would recommend trying it again today and see if it was a server issue.

Run the remote play test on the Xbox.
