I'm worried if I plug a Seagate storage expansion card in my Xbox series s that it would make it heavier and less portable because I'd think the card peeks out of the slot right? Is this the case?

The card is tiny and barely weighs anything. However, you should not carry the console around with the card inserted in case it gets damaged. Remove it from the console, put the protective case back on and carry that in a separate pocket.
