i recently got a new controller for christmas and not even a week later its already started to drift. Any fixes to this??

As mentioned in General already, send for repair, or buy a replacement if out of warranty.

can i send it back to the store i bought it from? Do you reckon they will be able to give me a refund or replace it?

If you've only had it five days then definitely take it back to the store.
