#how am I able to download the xbox app on pc? I can't install whatever I do

I used to have it and it would not let me open it because it was outdated and needed an update, an update never appeared so I deleted the game, now when I go to reinstall it, it either won't install on microsoft store, and I have an xbox.exe installer application, and it starts to download and it freezes, I have no idea what to do.

I am on pc, and I was trying to get on the xbox app and it would not let me open it because it said it was outdated, and needed an update, I checked microsoft store for an update, an update never appeared so I deleted the xbox app, and when I went to go reinstall it the xbox.exe application to download the app, would freeze up, and when I try to install it on microsoft store, the install would never go through, and it would load forever and never start downloading.

It would go really fast up to about quarter and then it'll just stop
