Is it possible to connect your Xbox to your desktop PC (HDMI or other) to completely remove the latency of the Xbox Stream?

Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.

If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.

In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:

  1. What is your issue?

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

  1. What troubleshooting have you tried?

Please list everything you have attempted.

  1. Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.

Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.

If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.

Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.

Then I recommend ShadowCast. It’s affordable and easy. https://www.genkithings.com/products/shadowcast

Genki

Genki ShadowCast connects your favorite game console to the laptop. It allows your laptop to become a TV by converting HDMI output into a video stream that your computer can read without drivers. Once your game footage is on the laptop the possibilities are endless. Compatible all HDMI out devices including Nintendo Sw

dusty hornet
#

Do you an adapter? Or did you break your Xbox? Because Xbox doesn’t have a DisplayPort

forest perch
#

I have an adaptater

#

When i'm in the homepage all works but when i launch a game that's crash

dusty hornet
#

Sounds like it’s an issue with the game. Try a different game and/or reinstall the game.

forest perch
#

don't work on any games

#

but applications like edge or idk it works

#

ah

#

it's lagging too on the homepage

dusty hornet
#

Could be a bad adapter if video is cutting out like that. Is the game crashing or the screen is going blank?

forest perch
#

the screen is going black

dusty hornet
#

Yeah. Definitely sounds like a bad adapter if the video is cutting out.

forest perch
#

ah :(

#

Do you have any recomendation for a new adaptater ?

dusty hornet
#

I don’t. But I prefer HDMI to DisplayPort cable if you plan on replacing the adapter. But careful on the cable type, because some are one-directional. You want source HDMI and DisplayPort out.

#

I know but i have ony one HDMI port on my screen and it's for my desktop PC

#

Or idk, if there is an multi HDMI adaptater or idk

dusty hornet
#

Actually, adapters can be one-directional too. That might be your issue. So it’s working for some video, but once it jumps in resolution it cuts out.

The switcher is a good alternative. I don’t know the brand, so you’ll have to check the reviews. I tend to avoid multiple connectors because it’s hard to find the point of issue. But if that’s what you have to do, then it’s what you have to do.

okok, thanks for your responses
