#Xbox cloud games are laggy, and have limited menu options

No, you can't change it back.
Yes, you will get used to it.

trying to restart the x box console, i pressed down on the center x box button, and the only options that come up are as follows:
Settings
Controllers
Sound Output
Game Picture
Options for RPG, FPS etc

oh, you're talking about cloud gaming not an actual console you own

it’s weird because i’ve always played on console, then when i logged back in, the system told me most of the games i have i needed a subscription for, so i bought it. But yeah the layout is very different, where there used to be a bunch of different options now there is only a cloud icon.
I was also searching for COD ww2 which was a game i bought but now when i search “call” the only games the pop up are: call of the wild and the hunter, that I also don’t understand
idk maybe i’m slow but this is completely new to me

the home menu just says welcome to the guide and more features are coming
cloud gaming isn't the same as having a local xbox in your bedroom.
there are restrictions to what you can do - and rebooting it is one of the things you can't do. (accessing the settings, accessing the game install page, etc)
how can i go back to how it previously was, or is it cloud gaming for everyone now
You can not 'go back' to previous versions of xbox dashboard
it’s just so bland and unhelpful now, under the audio and video section of the settings tab, it just has 2 toggles, one for Enabling navigation sounds and the other for the in game microphone

I'm not sure what you're looking for. You are connecting to a shared xbox over teh internet. There are a limited number of things you can change / need to change.
basically since i can’t change any of the layout settings im wondering if my lag issues are commonly seen with cloud gaming or not, and what i can do, other than a router reset, to solve the issue, because before all of this was implemented it worked fine
