I went into my friends xbox account and set his account as my home xbox but when i go back to my account it says i don’t have game pass even though he does.we do live in the same house as he is my roomate

first, you shouldn't sign on to anyone's else account even if you have permission. with that being said, have your roommate set the account as home again.

No im playing on my xbox and he has his own xbox we are trying to game share i logged into his account and set it as my home xbox . He has game pass ultimate as where i don’t but when i go back to my account it says i dont have it. He tries to download a gamepass game but it doesnt get shared to my account

no. I'll rephrase it. The account owner sets an xbox as home, we will call this xbox home. everyone that plays on home can play the owner's games.

this is why I avoid signing into other's accounts, gets confusing. basically if you want to share your games, you share it to home.

I’ll explain it as simple as I can. Game pass account set home on toughgerbil’s xbox. That’s it, don’t need to do anything else.

Because the GP account shares with home. Example I have WiFi at my home. If you’re in my home, you can use my WiFi. Do you own the WiFi, no it’s still my WiFi.

As of July 17, 2023, primary account holders will no longer be able to add new members to their shared membership. Existing memberships will end and Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family will no longer be available on August 15, 2023.

So basically make the xbox that doesn't have gamepass primary and change the other to something else but just know that the original primary xbox probably won't be able to Access gp on there Xbox

Alr so i checked with one of my other friends who lives with his girlfriend and the both play on separate xbox his girlfriend signs into his account and makes it her home xbox and she has gp on her main account

I would contact offlical support. If your account is ultimate, it'll have the tag next to your GT, won't matter on who's xbox.
