I have a apple headset the ones that come with an iphone and xbox isnt recognising the microphone but anything else is doing it

apple headsets the connection rings are different so may have issues

it isnt a bug as i said apple makes the rings different on the plug if it isnt working try a other headset/headphones to test and limt the issue down.

You're not understanding.

The issue is the headset.

Use a proper one. Don't use the crummy apple one.
