#Game Pass Sharing stopped with new Xbox

I have GPU on a series X. My son was using my old XboxOne. I had his XboxOne set as my home xbox and we could both play Game Pass Games.

He bought himself a series X. Last night I set it up and made it my home Xbox and his home Xbox, just like the old setup that was working.

Now we can't play different Game Pass games at the same time. He booted up NHL on his Xbox and it kicked me out of Hogwart's Legacy.

Could it take some time for these settings to take effect, or did I do something wrong? I only have one more switch of the home Xbox left this year.

I did try troubleshooting by signing myself out and in on his xbox to see when he could play and when he couldn't.

I also searched community support and did a chat with a volunteer, but they told me to factory reset both Xboxes and I want to explore further before I take that step.

"Now we can't play different Game Pass games at the same time. He booted up NHL on his Xbox and it kicked me out of Hogwart's Legacy." This means you are both logged in with the same account. He need to log in with his account on the console, and you log in on the other console with your account.

When I am logged out of his console, he gets a page that asks him which GP subscription he wants when he tries to play a Game Pass game.

#

So, yes. I understand his xbox is my home one. I am logged into my console and he is logged into his, but that's what's not working.

Sounds like his console is not set as your home.

but it is. I have double checked that. We tried it as his console set as my home and not his and with it set as both our home consoles.

The only thing I can thing of is when we set it up, I let him scan the QR code and set it up through the app with his email. He did not set it as his home (we skipped that step). I then logged in and set it as my home and added his profile on my family account. But knowledge base seems to read like that shouldn't matter.
