Do I also need to connect a payment method to redeem my Xbox Games Pass code on PC? if this is not a trial code?

It might still be a trial. Eneba sellers often sell trial codes and say that they're not.

You go to a store, you give them cash in return for the gift card, then you redeem the gift card.
