i bought a 1tb ssd but it shows 365gb on xbox, on pc it showed 1tb so yea wth is wrong with it

It sounds like you didn't format it at all for games and you're still seeing the 365GB of internal storage space available by default on a 500GB console. If you can plug the drive in to a PC and it immediately comes up, it's not formatted for games on an Xbox.

Yes, you need to format it on your console. Formatting it on your PC does not make it usable for games on your console. You won't see it in your "My Games & Apps" at all until it's formatted by the console for Games

The Xbox does not have a slot for “internal ssd” so if you have opened your Xbox somehow that’s not good.

If you are using a regular USB external ssd case then that’s fine and the instructions mentioned should work with it.

well the internall hdd was corupted now idk what i did to it but it works perfectly external

im thinking of puytting hdd back inside and ssd external

but idk ima just keep it like this for now ig
