attempting to buy this dlc, but instead of the usual buy button, i get the install to button as if i already own this dlc. i do own the game, but i never bought this dlc. how can i buy it? it's more expensive on 360 storefront, but i want to take advantage of this discount

Are you trying to download the dlc on a Xbox 360 console. I just checked the store page of the dlc and it says its only playable on Xbox one or Series X/S consoles.

that's irrelevant, all other 360 dlcs and games bought through the modern storefront work fine on a 360 console despite not being explicitly stated (which it is in the mobile app). this bug is unique to the 2 dlcs for alan wake on 360 as far as i can see

There is no text message option.
“Message a gamer” is silly and shouldn’t exist imo.
But being able to talk directly to an employee who has access to your entire account is, in my opinion, the fastest way to get anything complicated accomplished.

not only that, but when i replace my real first name with "kat" in the "what should we call you?" box it doesn't do diddly squat and it uses my real name anyway
im sure this random gamer doesn't have any bad intentions especially since they're taking the time to help, but im not the most comfortable with random strangers knowing my real first name
damn, i tried thinking outside the box and it didn't work
i opened an incognito tab to add both to a cart while signed out, and signed in at checkout. but 2 weird things happen: it says i get this for free as part of a subscription (i am not subscribed to any xbox subscriptions) and every time i choose checkout it loops back to the same page
this just keeps getting weirder and weirder
at least i can confirm sam lake himself is trolling me, the main game was on sale for 6.59 which i bought with no trouble, only to immediately go on discount again after that one ended for 4.99, so i wasted money by not having foresight
